When a Hoa Ta photograph is printed, Hoa Ta, or any gallery, has the responsibility to provide necessary documents to prove the authenticity of the works. Photographic prints from Hoa Ta are authenticated 2 times (we called this the double authentication method) by: a traditional certificate of authenticity and a blockchain certificate. A certificate of authenticity (CoA) includes general information (title, artist’s name, size, medium, …), the edition number of the photographs and artist’s signature. Hoa Ta Collection partnered with Artory to have access to blockchain technology. Since Hoa Ta Collection is working with photographers and selling photographs about Vietnam, we have to gather accurate information about the photographs, in order to build an accurate database. By using a blockchain, which has a high level of security, to authenticate the photographic prints, Hoa Ta Collection can prevent unwanted access and changes to the details of the photographs. Artory allows photography collectors and any collectors to register for a collector’s account with a few simple steps (free of charge), so that collectors have control over the published information of the photographic prints they own.
